Local ranking factors
Local ranking factors are the signals that determine which businesses appear in the local pack. Google and leading researchers (Whitespark, Sterling Sky) group them into three buckets: relevance (how well the business matches the query), distance (how close it is to the searcher), and prominence (how well-known and well-reviewed it is). You can’t change distance, but you can raise relevance and prominence.
